 concerned with all aspects of modern hypertext research including social an
 d intelligent media, narrative systems and applications, authoring, reading
  and publishing hypertext, workflows and infrastructures as well as reflect
 ions and approaches. The topic of the Hypertext 2023 is the “Humanity Withi
 n”. This is an invitation to the historical Hypertext community to reflect 
 on the human-side of hypertext systems, as new forms of cultural artifacts 
 and infrastructures. This is also a call to arms for the communities of Dig
 ital Humanities, Book History, and E-Literature to apply their Humanities-b
 ased lenses, sensibilities, and methods to the study of hypertext systems a
 nd social media. </p>
